a breed of domestic cat originating on the Isle of Man, characterized by a naturally occurring mutation that shortens the tail, resulting in a variety of tail lengths from a dimple to a full tail, but most commonly a very short stub (a "rumpy") or no tail at all (a "rumpy riser" or "rumpy").
